Get involved

OAK Garden has seen the growing demand for electricity optimisation and sustainable education in schools across the UK. With the energy crisis in tow, and climate anxiety in children rising, we know the solution is to act, educate, and inspire.

We need your help to deliver our programmes, from electricity optimisation and green education to sustainability upgrades and other inspiring green projects in the education sector.

Donate

There is no cost for state-funded schools for our services, we don’t ask them for any money. This means that we need to find our funding elsewhere. We want to support teachers and other staff every step of the way, whether that is through our Garden Boxes or through hands-on energy saving recommendations — we can’t do it without the generous support of councils, corporates, and generous individuals.

Any donation is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small and all contributions go directly to building our children’s green future.

The pond foundation has developed the My Carbon Zero programme (MCZ). MCZ engages with schools to help deliver an action-oriented programme that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and agency to tackle their carbon footprints in school and at home, as well as the means of measuring and tracking their progress.

Ran by Schools Energy Efficiency, the programme includes a series of half day workshops spread through the academic year. It includes peer mentoring, expert advice and a variety of resources. Staff are empowered and equipped to make changes and improvements to their school to reduce their energy use, save money on bills and lower their CO2 emissions.
